Measurement Questions

1. If we measured a football field to be 100 yds long, would the measurement in feet (ft) be greater or less than 100 yds? How do you know?

2. If a container holds 32 cups of juice, would the number of gallons (gal) be more or less than 32? How do you know?

3. If a baby weighs 10 lbs, would the measurement in ounces (oz) be more or less than 10? How do you know?

4. If a thermometer reads 100 degrees C, would the measurement in degrees F be more or less than 100? How do you know?

  1. 1. I think the number of feet would be greater than 100 because feet are smaller than yards so you need more of them.

2.I think the number of gallons would be smaller than 32 because gallons are bigger than cups so you need less.

3.I think the number of ounces would be greater than 10 because ounces are smaller and you need more of them.

4.I think the number of degrees F would be greater because I looked at a thermometer.
